While students were out of the dorm in the summer of 2016 the fire alarm system was completely upgraded including the addition of special hearing-impaired features for some of the individual rooms.  Upgrades were also made to the lighting within the rooms, corridors, and elevator lobbies throughout the 95,000-sf facility.
